This is a betavoltaic cell, designed to provide remote power for up to 2 decades. In theory, it will be able to provide enough power to actually be useful - A single cell should be able to run an Arduino, or slowly charge a phone, and multiple of them can power a raspberry pi. Parts list

A cell costs roughly $25 CAD, and leaves solar cells left over.

TODO

  • Research to determine efficency of solar cells, and therefore to determine the optimal arrangment of solar cells within the betavoltaic cell

  • Design circuitry for applications where bursts of power are needed
